- Q. How much is the rent per week?
A. Rent starts at £89.00 per week for single en-suite room and up to £119.00 per week for a large double en-suite room (based on a 40 week contract).
- Q. Is there a deposit to pay, is this refundable?
A. There is a £250 deposit to pay to secure the room; £200 of this is refundable at the end of the academic year provided there is no damage to the apartment. £100 of this may be kept if you do not proceed with the booking.
- Q. How do I pay the internet connection fee?
A. When you pay your deposit of £250 to secure your room at Cotton Mills, £200 of this becomes your security deposit and £50 is your internet connection fee, so there is no additional charges when you arrive. Your broadband internet is then fully inclusive for the duration of your contract.
- Q. How long is the contract and when does it start?
A. Our standard contract length is 40 weeks, but all contracts are flexible and the number of weeks and start/end dates you require can be tailored to suit you.
- Q. Is there an onsite Management Team?
A. Yes, Cotton Mills has an onsite Management team that are available from Monday to Friday to help you in anyway they can. Cotton Mills will be staffed 24 hours with on-site security and maintenance from summer 2010
- Q. I love the accommodation and want to book, what do I do?
A. Please email / ring us and send your deposit (£250) made payable 'Cotton House Management Company Ltd.' to Cotton Mills, Radford Boulevard, Nottingham, NG7 3BR, United Kingdom. As soon as your deposit has been paid, your contract will be emailed to you. You will then need to sign and return the contract to us within 5 days to confirm your booking, or your room may be re-allocated and your deposit refunded.
- Q. Where do I collect my keys from?
A. You can collect your keys from the office on site; you will need to bring photo Proof of ID, for example driving license/passport.
- Q. Where is the accommodation situated?
A. The student accommodation is situated on Norwood Road, just off Radford Boulevard.
- Q. Do I get a reduction if I pay my fees in full at the start of the year?
A. Yes we offer you £119.00 cash back once paid in full (only applicable to a minimum 40 week stay). Please look at our “Student Offers” page for other ways to save money.
- Q. Does the Cotton mills have internet access?
A. Yes the Cotton Mills does have internet points in each room.
- Q. Do I need a guarantor?
A. Yes, we do ask that all students have a guarantor – please ensure these details are filled in on the front page of your contract.
- Q. What is the full postal address and post code of The Cotton Mills?
A. The Cotton Mills, Radford Boulevard, Nottingham, NG7 3BR, United Kingdom.
- Q. Where will my post be delivered to?
A. There are post boxes situated in the common room at the entrance of the Cotton Mills.
- Q. Is there parking on site?
A. There is no on-site parking, however there is a limited number of spaces on Norwood Road and Radford Boulevard. Public transport links from Cotton Mills to both universities are just outside the facility and very regular.
- Q. Will my room be en suite?
A. Yes, all rooms at the Cotton Mills are en suite.
- Q. What should I bring?
A. You will need to bring bed linen and kitchen crockery, saucepans, cooking dishes, plates and bowls.
- Q. Is there laundry on site?
A. Yes there is laundry on site and this is open 24 hours of the day, 7 days of the week
- Q. Is there security on site?
A. YYes the Cotton Mills is monitored by numerous 24hr CCTV, as well as security gates and lighting. Security staff will be onsite from summer 2010 and 24/7 onsite security.
